Prayer does work....Just ask Lloyd Price who moves from the tough Big 7 to the Keystone where his Rams should challenge for a top spot with 21 returning starters....

They did improve the Keystone a little bit. Holidaysburg and Franklin Regional add a little bit of punch to the top end, but you are right, Lloyd is probably dancing the Irish jig right now.

Sarcastic Sword,it's a new year, new season, new conference!Do you ever have a positive thing to say about teams? Did you ever play the game? Or have you always been a sarcastic bench warmer spectator?

Ringgold was most likely going to contend in the Big 7. This is great news for the Rams.

Kind of surprised they seperated Waynesburg and Wash Hish. Now Waynesburg has no short bus rides.

@ Coach.....I just call it like I see it....theres not exactly alot of positive athletic news out of ringgold these days other than the two standout wrestlers who are both ranked #2 in the latest Post-Gazette rankings...Garcia and Rands....both undefeated....

While most of my comments have not been positive they are factual and sadly alot of people would prefer to bury their heads than face reality - I dont think you can tell me that my comments are unfair because they are not fabricated or based on heresay...

What I said about Price being happy that he got moved into the Keystone would be exactly what I would want if I were him...Ringgold doesnt have the athletes to compete at a high level with the TJ's and Char Valley's yr after yr....With 21 returning starters, I would prefer to make my chances in the Keystone....

I am surprised to see Avella stay in the black hills...thought for sure they were headed to the TCS (and i am sure they hoped so too).

Burgettstown might go 0-9 this year.

Ringgold will be a competitor to win the keystone...and then be lucky to win one playoff game.

Interested to see what Sto Rox does with the Big 7 (A).

Ringgold will have their hands full with FR and Hollidaysburg. Those are two pretty established programs. Don't expect Sto-Rox to get much less competition than they did last year. That is a tough conference with Rochy and the Beavers.

With Trinity and Wash High both having only seven conference games, I wonder if that series will once again continue?

Sorry to see Ringgold removed from the "Big Eight" conf. The Rams have been a tough and long time rival for the Hillers.

Really excited about McGuffey being in the same conference now. That is a natural rivalry and I'm sure we'll see some good games between the Hillers and Highlanders.

Major mistake by the realignment committee. They could have legitimized the tri-county south by placing a eminent playoff team from the black hills conference. Ex. Clairton, Fort Cherry, Serra Catholic or even Canevin. Along with Monesson and Beth Center in the conference another tough program would have made the worst conference in class A a little more respectable. No offense Frazier.

Who's going to be the new king of class A........

if wash high gets the lineman next year they will contend big time. they have mega talent. many are already hitting the weights. they need to also hit the books. looks like another tough conference, but if anyone has more talent at the skill position i'll be surprised.

who's going to be the new king of Class A? Didnt know the champs were ready to be de-throaned yet...Clairton has A LOT of talent coming back. My prediction is Rochy v Clairton in the title game yet again.

Anonymous said...

no i see clairton having trouble repeating this coming season with bc and rochester having trouble with sto rox as well......

Thats ok. Underestimate Clairton. Sto Rox wont be as good as you think...and Clairton has a really good team coming back. Green, Norris, Small, Ellis, Coles, Thompson, Page...this is going to be a really good team.
