Mike,
Just a thought... Since Wash High beat Canon-Mac already this year, does that mean it is highly likely that they will rank ahead of them throughout the year in your local rankings? Say Canon-Mac wins their next 10 games and Washington loses 2 or 3 of their next 10, do you think since Wash High beat C-M head-to-head that you would still rank them ahead?

Haven't you seen Oklahoma and Texas? Of course not!

The thought of CM winning more than 2 games in a row at any one point during the season would be a surprise

Cannon Mac in the top 5. The area must be really weak. Unless Eric Lang is playing for Rick Bell this year. I dont see them having a good season.

Mike,
I went to a tournament saturday at Trinity high school I stayed for a few games and I seen Fort Cherry play. The boys from their are pretty big and can just plain score. They can be a team to watch for being that Zach Bellhy a senior had 22 i believe and the games at Carlynton and Burgettstown he had 36. His brother Nate a 6"4 sophmore also had about 22 these boys could have had 40 each but the team was up to much. #24 for FC is a pretty good scorer as well. They have 7 seniors and all are athletic four of the 7 seniors aren't great scorers but are tough.. They are over 6"1 and play hard, physical, and will get rebounds. Also #2 was very quick and shot well.. These boys impressed me and I wanted to hear your thoughts on the team. There 5-0 and after seeing them play they look like they can be in the playoff mix.. What do you think??

Mike,
Again this is th FC Varsity Basketball Boys Manager number 55 Vinnie Gasbarro is a huge force and will not be driven on withour regret from the person who did it. And you cant forget number 32 Andy Weber either leave him uncovered and you will pay. We are the team to watch out for this year we are strong, athletic, and driven towards all of our goals.

I understand the pride for each local team, but you Fort Cherry guys need to go about it differently. Let Mr. Kovak decide which players he wants to hype when he gets around to covering your team. Don't get me wrong I enjoy reading about your team, but there is no need to mention every single player on the roster unless you have some stats or key moments from a game to go along with their names.

FC manager, do yourself a favor and don't let the jocks bully you around into posting. If you are posting b/c you honestly want to post then I apologize. It just seems like you are being influenced or are trying to conform to their ways. Don't be afraid to shine. In the words of Jordan Jankowski "the stars people notice are the ones with the brightest shine."

JDB,
Good insights in regards to FC manager. Actions speak louder than words, mr manager.

I thought Jordan's quote was...

"The chocolate truffle that shines brightest, is the one i haven't eaten."

Haven't seen Fort Cherry yet and I likely will not until 2009 but I am monitoring the Rangers' progress and hope to catch their first game against South Fayette. They are certainly an intriguing team with a lot of size.

In Class AA, it's so tough to win a playoff game. IMO, it's by far the most competitive classification in the WPIAL.

And, before the big school proponents start bashing the little guys, check and see what teams like Beaver Falls and Wash High do against larger classification schools.

Mike,

Wash High would lose by 25 points if they played Peters. Just because they beat up on a bad CM taem doesnt mean anything.

Thanks
