The good, the bad, the ugly - boys edition

The Good
Peters Township, led by first-team all-district senior Nick Wilcox, is off to a 2-0 start in Section 4-AAAA and a 5-1 mark overall. The Indians have shown the ability to win close defensive games and put up points against lesser teams. PT hosts McKeesport on Tuesday in an intriguing non-section contest.

The Bad
Canon-McMillan played without two starters during Saturday's 40-point loss to Washington at Burgettstown in the Chuckie Mahoney Classic. The Big Macs went 3-for-35 (8.6 percent) from three-point range and scored a combined four points during the second and third quarters.

The Ugly
Looks like the West Greene Pioneers are in for a long season. At 0-6, West Greene is averaging a WPIAL worst 14.8 points per game - the next lowest average is 40.3 points (St. Joseph) - and were held under 10 points twice.

How does CM, a AAAA team, get thumped by Wash High, a AA team? 40 point loss? Thats amazing. I guess the Canon Crazies took the night off.

There is nothing I like to see more than a Rick Bell team get blown out. Great job Prexies...

They were without kionte davis, will g, and chad for a half because of injuries

I believe that we dusted CM back on 12/6, and I think the players you mentioned played...SCOREBOARD WASH HS 71 – CM 60 with your boys on the court

dont act like you blew them out, you were down 10 at halftime.

Peters continues to roll with an impressive 60-58 win over McKeesport. Nick Wilcox lead all scorers with 40 points. Amazing, neither team got screwed, they both played a great high school basketball game.

I guess teams only get screwed in CM, land of excuses.

A 2 point win over McKeesport at home isn't impressive. McKeesport has a losing record. And how bad is that West Greene team? Are they playing with only 2 players or something?

Even though mckeesport is down from last year they are still a good opponent. They have one of the best players in the nation. Peters is having a great year and so is the wilcox kid. They are proving themselves as a real contender in the WPIAL. And im a cm fan.

Kionte Davis and Chad Hagan are over rated they SUCK .... Canon Mcmillan boys basketball's head coach MR.BELL should not let DAVIS shot when he wants to,and CHAD needs to stop shooting because i think he is the worst guard shooter on the team and that Will kid isn't in the picture anymore for canon mcmillans star players... all i hear is DAVIS and HAGAN... CAN anyone else play on canon mcmillan's boys basketball team

Kurt "BIG COUNTRY"..LOL plz he might be big but he surely ain't good... he is way to SOFT in the paint and needs to start finishing more down low because if i was playing on the team and i pass him the ball and he cant finish, i'm not passing him the ball anymore
