I hope Peters can win AAAA. I really like the way they play. They remind me alot of Char Valley. Do you think the injury to Corey Wilcox will slow them down? Who is going to take his place?

The Post-Gazette has Mt. Lebo winning it. Thoughts on that as well.

Quad A is up for grabs. I wouldn't be surprise to see a 3rd or 4th seed walk away with the "ship". Watch out for Fox Chapel.

Boys Winners: No need to follow the games, this is exactly what is going to happen.

AAAA: North Hills
AAA: Highlands
AA: Beaver Falls
A: Sewickley Academy

Char Valley is going to win AAA and I still think Peters will win AAAA.

I love high school sports but the purity is being destroyed by performancing enhancing drugs. I wonder how many kids are currently using anabolic steriods and/or Human Growth Hormone. I'd say 5-10% of all participants in the big 3 (football, basketball, and baseball) are juicing.

Mike, performance enhancing drugs in WPIAL sports is the story that is going to get you to the NY Times.

^hahahaha this guy's a joke

The reason its tough to tell about steroids is not all of them are designed to make athletes huge. Many of the steroids are designed to give athletes a ripped slimmer look. A-rod for example was taking ones that were designed to keep him around the same body weight.

I think high school athletes should be tested.

High school athletes should be tested, but currently the urine test is only good for anabolic steroids. Human Growth Hormone can only be detected by a blood test for the time being, although several labs are trying to develop a urine test for HGH.

Blood testing high school athletes (heck even college and pro athletes) won't be done because of the cost. So HGH is and will still be used in high school, college, MLB, NFL, NBA, NHL. It is a sad reality that performance enhancing drugs are still major factors in athletics. Anyone who thinks performancing enhancing drugs are NOT used by wpial athletes is fooling themselves.

I would say no one in the WPIAL I have seen has been using performance enhancing drugs. Have you seen the bodies of these players?

I dont think you could even question performance enhancing drugs because I havent seen one kid who is superior in strength.

I think Peters will have a difficult time without wilcox. He is definetly their best defender and does alot of little things for them. Their bench is also pretty weak.

You cant always go by their bodies. Not all steroids are designed to give you the huge body builder look.

Its hard to say if there are athletes on the juice in the WPIAL.

I don't want to live in NYC. Nice enought to visit for the Big East Tournament but a little too busy for this old mountain boy.

As for high school testing, I'm all for it but I don't know who would pay the bills.

Ken Barna 4 life

Don't expect Ken Barna to get any breaks from the liberal media aka mike kovak and josh yohe. They have no sympathy for his plight and instead only want to focus on one side of the story.

The truth is Ken didnt say anything that wasnt a fact...unfortunately you have to have a filter somewhere between your brain and your mouth and, well lets face it, if you know Ken you know that he has never been accused of having that filter...

Ken was a terrible head coach.
