Class AAAA
1. Gateway 10-0
2. Bethel Park 10-0
3. McKeesport 8-2
4. North Hills 9-1
5. Penn Hills 7-3

Class AAA
1. Thomas Jefferson 9-1
2. Highlands 10-0
3. Blackhawk 9-1
4. New Castle 7-3
5. Hopewell 8-2

Class AA
1. Beaver Falls 10-0
2. Greensburg Central Catholic 10-0
3. Shady Side Academy 10-0

2. Monaca 9-1
3. Avonworth 10-0
4. Rochester 9-1

Who's feeling worse this week - the Keystone Conference or the Centrury Conference? Both lost all four of its playoff games. That's hardly a surprise for the Keystone Conference, but the Century sent three teams to the playoffs with 8-1 records.

Mike...where does Indiana fall in your AAA rankings? I was just wondering because they have had a great year. They played Highlands really close a few weeks back, plus I think they beat New Castle at some point this season. Do they run a triple option offense - I haven't seen them at all this season - I was just wondering.
Thanks.

thats a great question anon. indiana seems like that sleeper team who's quietly 8-2. one game that baffles me is there 7-6 loss to hampton.

I don't see Indiana getting past New Castle this Friday. Just my opinion after covering the Trinity-Indiana game.

I will say the Indiana QB is a good option quarterback. Very elusive on pitches.

i agree with you mike. indiana beat new castle early in the year, but ever since, new castle has found a flame and just ignited

its going to be New Castle v Thomas Jefferson in the Semi's. TJ better be prepared for that game. New Castle is going to give them a run.

TJ is the best team in AAA, there is no one even close to them. TJ will win every game by 30 this Friday until Hershey.

Before you worry about talking about the Century Conference, maybe you should focus on the complete lack of competitive football teams in Washington County. You kissed up to Guy and Big Ed all year and they once again fell on their face in the playoffs. Washington County football is a joke.

Washington County football a JOKE??? I am puzzled by your comment anon as I remember watching our CM team beat Allegheny County traditional powers Woodland Hills, Upper St. Clair, and Mt.Lebanon this year and losing by only 4 to defending state champ Central Catholic of Pittsburgh. I also remember taking on a great McKeesport team last year and losing by 2 on a last second FG.(30-28) I was pretty proud of Washington County football on these nights!

4-5, 6-3, 2-7 respectively.

CM didnt exactly beat the current Allegheny County powers now did they?

Anon,

If you read today's O-R before shooting off your keyboard, maybe you saw an extensive column written by yours truly wwhich addresses the lowly state of Wash County football and Greene County football as well.

Still, here at the Varsity Letters, we are free to talk about the Century Conference if we choose.

Anon, i believe mike already acknowledged the meltdown of local football in the playoffs.
