Ringgold will lose a lot of game this year. The program, in my opinion, is a mess. I will not elaborate too much early on however. They may only win 2 or games or so.

R Keith,
Will any Ringgold teams be good this year? You have panned the football and basketball teams already-- perhaps girls basketball? Wrestling? Baseball?

Maybe even some blind faith in your alma mater would be a pleasant surprise.

I hear the main problem with Ringgold is the Youth League is a mess. They have coaches coaching who know nothing about the game or never even played. It all starts with the youth program.

R. Keith.

Do you believe the youth program is Ringgolds problem? Because that is usually where you build a program is at the youth level.

Canon-McMillan 4-8 12-11
Peters Township 3-9 6-18
Baldwin 0-12 3-19

Those will be teams Ringgold will have the best shot of beating this year in their section. They also should be able to win a few non conference games against Mt. Pleasant and two tournaments they are playing. I would think a 10-12 win season is possible. They are going to showing alot of youth starting 2 10th graders... They also have 2 other 10th graders who will be in their 8 man rotation.

yes the youth program of ringgold is a mess. not going to expound upon that but yes, a mess is an understatement

Ringgold Youth Program is a mess. They need to revamp the whole league. Particpation is way down and most of the coaches have absolutely no clue what they are doing. Its hard to complain though because at least they are giving their time to try and help.

What they could really use is some of their former players to come back coach. Now I am not talking about former players who have a criminal record or only played JV basketball.

The only way Ringold beats PT this year is if the Peters bus gets in a wreck on the way to the game. Ringold won't be within 20 points of the Indians this season. Keep dreaming.

I was just saying that PT only one 6 games last year. I know things can change over the year but the only way PT will have a big year is if Andrew Lang plays. He has to be about 25 years old so I doubt he will play.

I was only pointing out that those 3 section teams would be their best chance of winning.

I like how your making predictions and the first game hasnt even been played yet. I know one thing if Peters Township has never been known for having great athetes. Athletically Ringgold should be able to match up with them with ease. David Bassi will be a machine downlow.

To R. Keith Taylor
Wow - what a change - the program was ok when you were playing - now the program is a mess. The current players all thought you were their friend. Nice show of support duhhhh - and of course it is only the high school program, not the youth (which by the way, aren't you running that?) which is a mess - Grow up Rodney

R Keith is the president of the youth traveling basketball league in Ringgold. Alot of people appreciate all his efforts and time into the league.

It is well known though the league needs better coaching. It doesnt matter if your team wins 20 games. What matter is your developing players into learning the game of basketball.

Are you planning to change the direction of the league under your Presidency?

Brian,
You have any thoughts on the local high school basketball scene for the upcoming season? You seem to follow most/all of washington county and I'd be interested to read your thoughts about teams like Peters, Canon-Mac, Trinity, and others. Thank you in advance.
