Beaver just beat Bishop Canevin, 4-3. Trinity game is about 30 minutes away.
Here's an interesting factoid, Trinity won back-to-back WPIAL baseball championships in 1940 and 1941.
The Hillers were the first WPIAL baseball champs according to information provided in today's program.
Thought there would be more Trinity people here by now. Maybe it's a late arriving crowd.
Looks like the game will start very close to the 7:30 scheduled start.
Trinity has been designated the visiting team.

Zak Sinclair is a monster. I know this comment is probably going to get some flak from the readers of this blog, but with Sinclair on the mound West Allegheny is the best team in the state regardless of classification. He is the best prep pitcher in Pennsylvania and has a very balanced attack around him. I don't mean to take anything away from Peters, Plum, NA, CM, or any other teams that people might feel are better, but Sinclair is on another level. I sure hope the WPIAL All-Star game features a Jordan "Chocolate Truffles" Jankowski at bat against Sinclair. I'd give the edge to Sinclair just because I see Jankowski getting too psyched up for the matchup and unable to keep his composure. Should be interesting (although Sinclair will likely be drafted by then and sit out the game as a precaution).
Mike,
What was the reason behind Schrader leaving the game after only two innings? He looked fine to me out there?
One reason may be that Frey matched up a little better against West Allegheny.
I had two coaches tell me they would start Frey because West A was a fastball hitting team. Schrader's best pitch is his fastball.
I thought Schrader and Frey pitched as well as they could. West A was simply the better team.
