Long wait

Due to inclement weather, the Canon-McMillan baseball team will not know its WPIAL Class AAAA quarterfinal opponent until Monday evening.

Saturday's first-round game between Shaler and Gateway, originally scheduled for Friday, was postponed in the second inning of a scoreless game. The contest resumes Monday afternoon at Washington & Jefferson's Ross Memorial Park at 4 p.m.

The Big Macs play the winner Tuesday with a site and time to be determined.

Sites and times were released for some of the other quarterfinals and there will be a local tripleheader at the Burkett Complex in Robinson Township.

In Class A, Chartiers-Houston plays Rochester at 2 p.m., followed by Carmichaels versus Vincentian Academy at 4 p.m. Class AAA Trinity caps the action with its game against Hampton, which is scheduled for 7 p.m.

are they going to charge admission for the Gateway/Shaler game? I wouldnt be suprised if the WPIAL tried to double up on some unlucky parents and fans...

Wow! Never thought about that. Wouldn't surprise me if the WPIAL tried to double-dip the admission on those fans.

Just a random thought... any predications on the all-section team for AAAA section 3? I believe the composition of the team is: 2 catchers, 5 INF, 4 OF, and 2 Pitchers. Here is what my team would look like:

C- Jankowski, PT
C- Murphy, CM
INF- Matt Pierpont, CM
INF- Pete Ross, PT
INF- Jordan Steranka, MTL
INF- Jim Meyer, BP
INF- Boyd, USC
OF- Eric Isler, MTL
OF- Pat Glass, USC
OF- Chris Dittmar, CM
OF- Pat Gallagher, PT
P- Nick Merich, PT
P- Nate Clark, BP

Leaving Leviseur off the team?

Leviseur is unfortunately stuck at a loaded position this year. I actually had him 4th in the section at catcher behind the two on the list and Lattanzi from USC. Just to show the depth at the position Krayer from MTL is fifth and he put up some darn good numbers too.

I know Leviseur is a beast, but does anyone know his actual numbers form this year?

I just feel like I'd have a hard time putting him behind anyone except for JJ.

Leviseur hit about .320 this year with 1 homerun and 15 rbi's. His numbers were way down this year as compared to last year.

I will dominate the playoffs!
