Hey Mike,

I had a hoop question. I hear that the Washington County Hoopfest will again be taking place this season on Dec. 18.
What are all the matchups?

I don't believe all the matchups are finalized because we had a team pull out within the last week. As soon as we have it finalized, I'll post them.

Hey, any truth to the rumor that Monessen's hoop team is supposed to be really good this year?

With Monessen's basketball tradition, you know they will be a good team. How good? That remains to be seen. If they played in their actual class (A), they'd be fine but..They do have a lot of potential, but right now its hard seeing them getting past Beaver Falls or the team who took 2 of their top hoopers, GCC. Irwin, Madison, Johnson, and Bolias are all capable of averaging double figures in ppg. How much 6'7 Freshman Elijah Minnie develops during the season could be the X factor on whether or not they are a true wpial aa title contender.
