I know this isn't your poll but Southern Columbia is 5-2.

How do they even do these? Is it just pulled out of a hat? Look at Class A, you have Springdale and North Catholic ranked 9 & 10 yet these teams were both beat by avonworth. Springdale lost by 16 points and NC didnt even score. Avonworth is not listed. That is such a job, they have run off 6 straight wins. Their 1st game was a loss by 1 touchdown. Just a joke of a system.

anon 7:17,

Its just an opinion and thats all. No different than me trying to rank the teams across the state.

No I know it's opinion but how do you have an opinion a school is better than another when the facts dont match. Springdale, ok they have the same record but avonworth beat them. NC????? That is just nuts, Avonworth beat them and they have lost 1 more game. Makes ZERO sense.

There are 5 teams you need to know in Class A:

Clairton
Rochester
Farrell
Sharpsville
Mercyhurst Prep

IMO, there are no Class A teams in the eastern part of the state that can compete with those 5. Dunmore, the preseason #1 is 4-3. Southern is 5-2. They have both looked very unimpressive this year. The winner of the Clairton/Rochester game will play the D-10 champ (one of those 3) in the Western final with the winner being your state champion.

Listen, I know there is a lot of Clairton talk on this blog...both good and bad. But from a football standpoint, you REALLY have to see this team play to appreciate what they can do on the field. Week in and week out they just demolish teams. They have a lot of talent. They really are a special team. Forget all of the off-the-field stuff and the bickering, they are very very good.

Yeah I don't need to like a school to say they are good. We don't play Clartion so I can't comment on sportmanship. I think taking a knee is crap but scoring alot of points can't be helped always. Avonworth played them in the playoffs last year and lost 24-0 which I thought was respectable and there was maybe 1 kid with an attitude I wanted to punch. I bet there is someone on every team like that

"They have both looked unimpressive this season."

So you've seen them both play? Come on, man.

um...yeah I have. Next question?

Anon, some of these teams end up on PCN or other outlets so viewing teams out East isn't as difficult as it used to be.

How About Rochester's QB Jason Adamson Said, On Trib Total Media Show Thurday Night, That his Rochester Team Will Beat Clairton Down Heinz Field Sat Nov, 27th, At 10:00am, And He Said They Should Have Beat Them Last Year down Heinz. He Said They Can't wait To Play Clairton, Maybe It's Me But Clairton Does Not Need Fired Up. And No Team In Single A I Know Of Wants To Play Clairton. So On That Note Rochester You Have Been Added To The Bears Mercy Rule List, And Trust me It's Long. By The Time Clairton Plays Rochester Down Heinz Field They will Have 12 Mercy Rule Victories. Now That's A Little Crazy But Rochester will Make 13.

I dont know...Rochester better not look ahead. They havent looked anywhere near as dominant as Clairton this year. Rochester almost lost to Sto Rox (a team that lost to W. Beaver), and then only beat W. Beaver by 16. Clairton beat the golden beavers 55-6. If Rochester gets caught looking ahead, Avonworth, Bishop canevin, or Springdale could pick them off. People need to watch out for those eastern teams.

And by the way, Clairton has ended Rochy's season the last 4 years.
