Greene County Sports

For years, WANB Radio in Waynesburg broadcasted the best of Greene County sports, whether it was football, wrestling, basketball or softball. Guys like Jefferson-Morgan athletic director Scot Moore, former Waynesburg High standout Lanfer Simpson and Jason Tennant called the action.

A group of broadcasters who worked for WANB in the past have started greenesports.net. They plan on webcasting four to five events per week and will cover the Powerade Wrestling Tournament this week.

Is Lanfer no longer covering wrestling for WANB? I always thought he was a good wrestling play by play guy.
I tried to navigate the site and it appears as if it would be easier to navigate around Lanfer through the 4 hole rather than navigate the site. What a mess.

The site is in its early stages and a lot of areas are under construction.

I'm glad to see these guys giving it a shot. When WANB cut back significantly on sports coverage, there were some upset people.

I think it's great that Greene County is taking it to the next level. I'm sure they will get the bugs worked out.
