ARE YOU KIDDING ME??? DOES BETH CENTER EVEN HAVE TO SHOW UP FOR THE GAMES NEXT YEAR? WHAT WAS THE WPIAL THINKING??

i think mcguffey would be much better off with washington. i also believe cm will not win a game in this new section. this could be an end to football at cm and peters.

That alignmen makes me want to puke. I'll enjoy the upgrade in competition. But dang I feel sorry for the 5th, 6th, and even 7th place teams that'll come out of the Foothills because those teams are obviously better than even the 2nd place team out of the TCS.

This doesn't even help Beth Center at all. They'll get utterly destroyed by who ever finish's in Forth from the Foothills.

The Blackhills has always been one of if not The Toughest conference in Single A. Now that conference is just stacked. Good games every week! It doesn't get better than Blackhills football!

Keystone-Eight Mashup... Trendy matchups...

TCS will break the Keystone record for most consecutive seasons without a play-off win. I am trying to understand the thinking behind this move but nothing makes sense. Bishop Canevin, Brentwood, Clairton, Char Houston, Ft. Cherry, California, and Monessen will have 3 of them stay home from play-offs while Bentworth, JM, Carmichaels and Frazier will battle for three spots behind BC. What a Joke!

@Keith..

Your early predictions seem on the mark. Trinity, Ringgold and BVA should fill in the 3,4,5 spots and could be in any order. The bottom 4 probably are a safe bet to be those teams. I just dont know what the top 4 teams from the Big 8 (Trinity, TJ, WM and BVA) have coming back although I know that BVA has a big OL that is getting recruited by likes of Pitt, Wisconsin, Mich St and has an offer from WVU. His name is Dorian Johnson.

My Big Macs program will collapse, it will be like before Pallante. So sad I feel sorry for the players

Joey, correct me if im wrong, but werent you the same person on this blog months ago saying avella and bentworth should move down to the TCS? Now you get your wish and you are wanting to "puke" at the realignment? You cant have it both ways. You asked for this. You got it.

Trinity could be poised for a big season in 2012.

I'll post my thoughts on the new alignment later today.

Yes and No. I advocated an 8 conference scenario for the most part.

I also had an idea like this:

Conference 1: 1 Fort Cherry 2 Char Houston 3 Bishop Canevin 4 Avella 5 Mapletown 6 J. Morgan 7 Carmichaels 8 W. Greene 9 Carlynton

Conference 2: 1 Clairton 2 Brentwood 3 Monessen 4 California 5 Frazier 6 Beth Center 7 Bentworth 8 Geibel 9 Serra Catholic

@ Sarcastic Sword

I have to say that I believe BVA will not be very solid this year. They had a lack of skill players this past season and if it weren't for Ian Dobbins they would not have been a playoff team. My bet is that unless somebody steps up big time on their team and makes some plays they could be 6th place team.

As for Trinity Pat Frey could be the key to all of their success. The kid is a flat out athelete.

TJ always reloads and WM will have depth that is unmatched in the conference. Those two will fight it out again for the conf. title.

Ringgold will be a solid team but will need to find some skill players to step up due to the graduating seniors. Im not qualified to say if they have them or not because I simply dont know them.

My surprise of the year would be EF fighting for a playoff spot in the 4 or 5 spot. I'm not going to lie, I'm from the area and have watched many of their games. Last year was a poor year by all means but the benefit is that they will have a ton of returning players who have either started or had significant playing time. Not to mention coming into the second year with new coaches and a brand new scheme to the kids. Bold, I know, but very possible.

Here's my early prediction for the season:

1. West Mifflin
2. Thomas Jefferson
3. Ringgold
4. EF / Trinity
5. EF / Trinity
6. BVA / Laurel
7. BVA / Laurel
8. Uniontown
9. Albert Gallatin

Rambo at PT will get his clock cleaned even worse in 2012. He should've quit when given the chance.

Pat Frey will be lucky to ever play football again

How could the Big Macs do worse. Give Coach Sohtda time to build. They have a strong group coming into 9th grade (went 6-1 at 8th grade) Penn Hills, Woodland Hills are good but I really think 2 more years and they will be fighting for a playoff spot maybe a conference championship

What is wrong with Pat Frey?

Monessen is in big trouble...

It's going to be another rough season for PT.

Pat Frey broke his leg, not his heart. I know him well, he'll be back!!You know what they say," what doesn't kill you, will only make you stronger."
