Mike, we are now close or at the mid point of the season for most of the districts 22 teams. It looks to me, that this is one of the weakest years I can remember for boys basketball in washington county. In my observation only 3 teams look as if they have a chance to advance past the first round come playoff time. Monesson, Bentworth, and South Fayette. Only 8 of the 22 district teams have a winning recored at mid season. Sections 3a and 5aa could have jeff morgan, carmicheals, ft cherry, and burgettstown in the playofffs with records as bad as 7-15. Mike do you think at this point that this is one of the poorest years for our district in basketball?
Not sure about that Anon. Could be, but there have been some very lean years.
How many teams advance, I can't say for now, but the overall individual talent level is better than it was 10 years ago.
There were a few years where it was almost difficult to believe the picks for Player of the Year and first-team All-District.
Well, it's time to tell the former Burgettstown Basketball coach Brendon Cyphers that callin all coaches and belittling btown is harassment. These are kids 17 and under. Yes, we checked. Btown could of won if he wasn't calling the carlynton coach while I was sitting there. Leave it alone Brendon move on. You follow the foot steps of the previous btown coaches.
