Jackson to Penn Hills

According to the Post-Gazette, Darche Jackson has transfered from Wilkinsburg to Penn Hills for her senior season. Jackson led the WPIAL in scoring as a junior, netting 33.8 points per game.

A 5-7 guard, Jackson is drawing minor Division I interest.

Jackson's transfer won't impact Class AAAA and Penn Hills as much as it impacts Class AA and Wilkinsburg. The move essentially removes Wilkinsburg as a potential power and makes Double-A a little more wide open.

What happened to Cam Jones? She played for Canon-Mac for 3 years and then didn't come out as a senior. She was a tremendous talent and I was wondering if she planned on playing in college. Any information would be excellent thank you in advance.

I believe she's attending WVu and I do not believe she plans on trying out, but I could be wrong about the second part.

Ms. Jones was supposedly one of the first area players to be contacted by the new Duquesne coach last year. (Suzie McConnell)
She will be attending WVU where Coach Carey was very interested in her abilities as a younger player.
She also qualified for the state track meet as a freshmen and never participated in track again.
Good Luck Ms. Jones
