Wow looks like Fort Cherry had 2.5 on the clock....Nothing like getting homered haha...Not an FC fan just a fan of the page...congrats Burgettstown on the big win against your rivals!!!

You are correct there was 2.5 on the clock, but I did not see anyone come on to the floor until the clock had 0. Who stopped fc from calling a time out or inbouncing the ball for a last shot. the ball went in and fc stood there and did nothing, who do you blame for that? the refs, burgettstown or fc.

when coach cypher was hired at burgettstown, he was 22 years old, mant thougth to young to be a head coach, me included but he has now coached burgettstown to the playoffs in all 3 years that he has coached,a few of us were talking and wonder is there any other coach in the county to have had 3 playoff apperances at the age of 25? someone thought rick bell? also it led to the talk and trivia question. do you know who was the youngest coach to ever make the playoffs in the county?

Who stopped FC from calling a timeout? It wouldn't helped anyways that is what caused the whole problem to being with, the coach tried to call a T.O. when leading and got ignored until he went on the court to get the timeout and then got "T" up. Doesn't surprise me though the year we went up there they had fromer players as Refs. Check there record, they lose all there games on the road. Wonder why, maybe a little HOME COOKING.

Have watched the video about 10 times now. I can not find ANYONE at the Fort Cherry bench or in a Fort Cherry uniform asking for a timeout. So, exactly how was somebody "homered" in regards to the clock and when the shot went through?

And, for the record, did FC even have a time-out left to call?

Well I can see the taller kid for Fort Cherry holding up a number 1 and looking at the refs as in there is one second left on the clock. Is everybody on this page trying to say that you need a timeout to stop the clock after a made basket? I believe the clock is supposed to stop on a made basket? Regardless the chances of the shot being made are very slim but there should have been time on the clock.

Can anyone actually recall a time where someone was "homered"? I mean, I have seen countless bad calls but I don't think I have ever really seen a state certified referee in any sport homer someone.

I do not believe any ref would give a T to a coach with 17 sec left for comming on to the floor to call a time out. there has to be more to it, the coach HAD to make a VERY bad comment to the ref. YES HE MAY HAVE WANTED TO CALL A TIME OUT BUT HE MUST HAVE SAID MORE TO THE REF THAN GIVE ME A TIME OUT.

looking at the scoreboard, neither team had a timeout left. Unless I'm reading it wrong. Both teams have 0's under TOL.

ANON 9;17am i took your advice and checked the record, I assumed bkkt did not win a road game by your comment, and would have assumed that if I did not check the facts like you should have. it is a shame when people like you make or print untrue statements and present them as facts. THE FACTS FT C is 4-6 on the road 3 wins to class a teams and avonworth 1-9 in section.
burgettstown is 4-6 on the road playing a few aaa schools. so both teams have the same road record with bkkt playing a tougher schedule in my opnion. get your facts right.

NO the clock does not stop after a made shot in high school

I have watched this a number of times, and if you can see a ft c player holding up his hand with 1 then you must be superman with xray vision becouse i do not see it.

Did the coach get a "T" because he did not have any time outs to call when he was vigorously asking for one with :19 sec left?
If that is the case, then he lost the game for his kids. They had the ball and were ahead by one at that point.

to Anon at 1:40 pm:
"I believe the clock is supposed to stop on a made basket?"

NOT in High School. NOT in THIS state...

I think we ALL hope you're not one of the "state certified refs"...or coaches, for that matter.

Anon at 3:59 pm. Fort Cherry played South Fayette away, the AAA #1 and Wash hi twice also a AAA school, once at Trinity and once at Wash Hi gym. They also have Quaker Valley next Monday and Monesson this Saturday. I know Burgettstown also played Wash Hi twice but lets just agree that these teams are about as even as you can get. One game won by FC in OT and the other won by Burg at the buzzer. Identical section records and tied for 2nd place with a team they both lost to once and beat once.

FC lost to a 1-8 chartiers-houston team. burgettstown does not lose to the teams they should beat, they are the better team. burgettstown is always prepaired to play, cant say the same about fc.
the wpial will seed burgettstown higher on tuesday.
