What girls teams should we be looking out for this season? Are there any playoff teams from last season that should have improved?
Will you have a basketball preview?
What boys teams should we be looking out for this season?
If all of the Monessen boys team remains healthy and eligible, Look Out!
anon at 1213...
ha ha ha ha ha ha ha...just like football right?
The Observer-Reporter does not run a preseason baskteball preview edition. We do, however, run previews on teams by classification.
They will start next week.
Anon at 12:13 is right. Monessen has the chance to be very good.
...so did there football team.
Whats Washington and South Fayette got this year?
anon at 10:54 and 8:24,
this ain't football where the strength of the line is the biggest factor...in basketball u can win just on your skills, height, and athleticism...and unlike football, the hounds have proven over the years that they can get the job done in hoops and compete for championships..in case u didn't know, Monessen plays
"up" in class and made the wpial AA semifinals last season with 5 sophomores getting extensive playing time
Not guaranteeing that Monessen is going to win anything..just stating that if they don't lose anyone, they can be very very good..starting frontcourt may be 6'6 6'5 and 6'4
South Fayette basically has everybody back from last season's outstanding team. The Lions could be the team to beat in AA.
Nice articles about the High school kids in college. Here is a couple more kids doing well Zach Belhy from FC at W&J doing real well. Ryan Nemic from BC started the last five games in a Division II program from a class A school. Klimchock for Edinboro big step.
Mike, what day this week will the paper have the AA basketball teams preview?
